The Vermillion Community Club annual, free will donation, Pancake Feed will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm. They will be serving pancakes, sausage and eggs as well as biscuits and gravy. The club also will have the raffle drawing that day and the drawing for the prizes will be at 1:00 pm. Raffle tickets may be purchased from any of the club members or will be available as you come in to eat. The club is very appreciative of the raffle items donated by local and community merchants.
The Vermillion Library will hold an Open House on December 15, from 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon. The public is welcome to attend.
Florida visitors to the Schafer House this week were Don and Trish Tutt, college friends of Lynn. Tours of the Park, Cemetery, Boyles Parts Field, Lee’s Cafe, Library and Museum, and Dutch’s were all enjoyed and photographed. The warm welcome of Vermillion very appreciated. The sheet rock hanging is completed at the Schafer House. This week begins the taping and mudding. Stop by for a tour!
Jim and Lois Jean Harper and Thelma Gaddis spent the day and had Thanksgiving Day dinner at the Larry Gaddis home in Topeka. Other guest were Todd, Brandi, Landon, Taylor and Troy Gaddis.
After the Tops weigh in on Monday evening, December 1, nine members and four husbands enjoyed their Christmas supper at Ace’s Cafe in Axtell.
Seven Hotsie Totsie Red Hat ladies held their regular monthly meeting at Lee’s Cafe Saturday morning December 6. Our Christmas Supper will be Wednesday, December 10 a the Corn Crib in Corning. The January supper will be a salad supper at Lee’s Cafe. The will be decided at a later date.
