Vermillion news July 13th, 2020

The Vermillion Library hosted the Friday night movie “Abominable” with over 40 children and adults attending.  Although the evening started out quite humid, the breeze came up later on in the evening and the group did enjoy the event.  Pop furnished by Dutch’s, water, popcorn and other snacks were provided by the library.

Several of the parents and children ventured to the library to pick up their Summer Reading packets before the movie started.  The library still has some of the Summer Reading packets available to patrons with Vermillion addresses.  Come in on Monday or Tuesday from 1:30 to 5:30 or Wednesday or Saturday from 9:00 to 11:30 and pick one up.  Packets are available for 1st through 8th and up who want to read this summer and participate in the program as well as the drawing held on July 28th.

Christian Church services continue to be held at 10:30 a.m.  Gathering together to worship is important in our daily lives and the need to be together on the Lord’s day holds a special meaning when many are being told that the doors should remain closed.  We do practice social distancing.    Everyone is welcome to attend.
