The Vermillion Public Library Board met September 12th, for our monthly meeting, there were six board members and Audrey Broxterman, our director , present. Our President , Karen Zidek, conducted the meeting. Milton Anderson played â??The Star Spangled Bannerâ?, on his harmonica. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer gave her report, bills have been paid, propane was prepaid, stamps, supplies, Frankfort sanitation, to name a few, were paid. Complete report follows.
The Story hour, was held at the school Aug. 31 for 52 children. Audrey read  The Popcorn Dragon, she reviewed this book for us.
The Book Van came September 4th and left 140 fiction, 10 Non-Fiction, 80 large type, and 4 Junior books. We have received several boxes of books from several sources. We also have the Onaga newspaper at the library , for the public to read.
We hope to have Scott Edwards here around the 20th of October, more later.
We received a call from Clara Snook giving us information on the town, we appreciate these bits of history, and the feed back , we have received, on the libraryâ??s web page.
There will be a Book Repair workshop Sept. 21 in Manhattan 9:30 am to noon and pm 1:00 to 3:30 several will try to attend.
Rebecca Shepherdâ??s name will be submitted to the city council, for a library board member, we appreciate those willing to serve.
We have set up a new pricing for printing and fax usage. Prices will be 25 cents per page black and  white or colored FAX, sent or received for use of printing, copying or faxing.
A replacement computer was discussed, more information and thought will go into this.
Matthew explained the MP3 player recently purchased, for music or audio books. Audrey designated some jobs to be done in the library, to each one, on the dayâ??s we are working.
