ABOUT THE LIBRARY

            The Vermillion Public Library is essentially considered the HUB of this small city.   The building is used as a meeting place for the City Council, local cemetery board, various clubs, Bible study, Friends of the Vermillion Community, Inc., and frequent scheduled meetings. The Library has three newspapers currently donated to the library and these are available for public reading. The Library has computers available for patrons as well as laptops available to the public.  Wi Fi is accessible when the library is closed.

            The library has developed an outreach program offering 3D printers to families in the Vermillion are the opportunity to use chosen printers for a period of 2 months to become familiar with each unique printer and develop challenging skills appropriate for each printer.  The library also has a Cricut Maker and Heat Press machine which are available to the public for use in printing designs on T-shirts, etc. 

            Local volunteers assist in keeping the library open as the library has no paid librarian or staff.  The hours the library is open is determined by the number of patrons using the library at varying times.
